ADU Homes are compacted living options that are generally larger than tiny homes with the ability to be as large as the lot allows and in some jurisdictions can be as large as 1,200 sq. ft.
ADUs are secondary housing units on the same property as the main house, they are built on a permanent foundation opposed to Tiny homes that are built on wheels or a trailer . ADU permits are subjected to specific zoning and building regulations and are generally easier to build and approve than tiny homes.
ADUs can offer a more loose lifestyle and a non-committal sense of homeownership. They offer a minimalist living while exist nearly anywhere that homes already exist.
